Where we began
How it began
In the year 1979, G. M. Sahaji, a young beekeeper, started nurturing a few bee colonies of Apis cerana indica, an indigenous subspecies of the Asiatic honey bee, in a village near Sundarban with a noble vision to educate people about honeybees and their instrumental role in nature.
Sahaji, from individual to collective
Though G. M. Sahaji started his beekeeping journey alone, he started inspiring his friends and family members to become beekeepers. Over the years, from an individual's small initiative, ‘Sahaji’ transformed into a collective of bee-lovers.
